Our first location was established in 2017 Summerville by Dr. Kyle Heimer. We’ve expanded as time went by, opening subsequent offices to better meet the needs of people seeking natural health care in our area.
In 2020, Foundation Family Chiropractic was established inside the Charleston Birth Place, the only stand-alone birth center within a three-hour drive. Dr. Kyle and Dr. Molly Schulting are thrilled to support expecting moms during their pregnancy and birth. Both chiropractors have extensive experience in prenatal and pediatric care.
Support On Your Pregnancy Journey
From preconception to postpartum, you need a team of support around you throughout your pregnancy journey. We want moms to have a comfortable pregnancy and optimal delivery, as well as a positive postpartum experience. With our location inside the Charleston Birth Place, moms are one of our most commonly seen patients. Chiropractic is an integral part of making sure your body works exactly as it was designed.
When it comes to pregnancy and birth, everyone’s vision is different. We aren’t here to tell you what you should do. We want to help you create the picture of what you want and what you’re capable of, being here for you along the way.

A Love of Pediatric Care
When you bring your kids to Foundation Family Chiropractic, you’ll find Dr. Kyle is a big kid at heart. He is a dad of three daughters and is happy to be a girl dad through and through. Dr. Kyle was in chiropractic school when he and his wife, Stephanie, welcomed their first child.
The birth didn’t go the way they had hoped. One intervention led to two, then three. With their second daughter, they went to the Charleston Birth Place. The experience they had was so transformational, Stephanie quit her job to work at the birthing center.
With our location, we can see newborn babies and affect them positively from shortly after birth. Dr. Kyle and Dr. Molly are passionate about caring for children and making sure parents can be there for their kids, and grandparents can be there for their grandkids.
